Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 21, 2026
Overview
Novam Legal (“we,” “us”) provides self-help case-preparation tools and a privacy/takedown automation service. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Using our site or services means you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, and a hashed password when you create an account.
- Request information: details you provide about a case or a removal/takedown target — which may include sensitive information such as a home address, a URL to private content, or details about a harassment or doxxing situation. This is collected only to carry out the request you asked us to make.
- Payment information: processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your full card number.
- Usage information: basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically to operate and secure the site.
How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account and provide the Case Vault or requests dashboard.
- To draft and send removal, opt-out, and takedown notices on your instruction.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To send transactional email — receipts, status updates on your requests, and responses to support requests.
- To improve and secure the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or add you to marketing lists you didn’t sign up for.
AI processing
Case summaries, removal-notice drafting, and the AI Paralegal/assistant features are powered by third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic and OpenAI). The relevant details you provide are sent to these providers solely to generate the requested output (a report, a drafted notice, or a chat reply) and are subject to their own data-handling terms as our processors.
Third parties we work with
- Stripe — payment processing and billing.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Cloudflare R2 — encrypted storage for account data, case files, and requests.
- Anthropic / OpenAI — AI drafting and chat features, as described above.
- The recipients of your notices — when you submit a removal or takedown request, the target site, data broker, or platform necessarily receives the details needed to identify and act on it.
Data security
Case Vault files are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and hash-verified on upload. Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plain text. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information.
Your rights
You can update your name, email, and password anytime from your dashboard Settings. To request a copy or deletion of your data, or to close your account, contact us at george@novam.us. We will respond within a reasonable time and consistent with applicable law (including CCPA/CPRA for California residents and similar state privacy laws).
Data retention
We retain account and request information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion at any time as described above.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
